Adding Value to a Home
According to the National Home Improvement Council, kitchens are the way to adding value to a home and a way of attracting buyers of today.
Kitchens are the most important part of a property as the trend is for families and friends to socialize in the kitchen as opposed to the lounge.
Planning a kitchen can be fun with the choosing of new units and appliances.
Advice from a kitchen specialist about planning and fitting is considered to be more or less essential.
The bathroom is another important room. There are now so many beautiful designed suites that choosing the right one is becoming difficult. From roll-top baths or those shaped to accommodate a shower to those incorporating a jaccuzzi are all available. Power showers are now more or less compulsory.
After choosing the suite tiles and flooring need consideration with so many designs and colours to choose from this can really be fun.
A good choice of product for the bathroom is a water saving flushing system and certain shower heads also reduce the amount of water used.
To add further value to a property an extension or conservatory is worth thinking about. A conservatory can be a place to relax or spend time following a hobby or used as a dining room that possibly looks out onto a garden.
A brick built extension will need planning and Local Authority permission. An extension is a cheaper option to moving and can give much needed extra space.
They are able to provide an extra family room, study, bathroom or bedroom. If the extension was a two-storey project then it could incorporate all of the above.
